  • Description: Participating in a writing community can help to keep you motivated whether you are working on your thesis, dissertation or another intensive graduate level writing project.

Join fellow graduate students to work on your writing goals, share best practices and get feedback on your writing (if you wish). Our Graduate Student Writing Communities are facilitated by graduate students from the Centre for Writing and Scholarly Communication and the UBC Research Commons and are hosted weekly in Koerner Library. Each meeting will include discussion and focused writing time.

Registration is required. Our Graduate Writing Communities are offered at two times. Register for our:

    -Tuesdays 2PM - 4PM series here or
    -Wednesdays 5PM - 7PM series here.

Note: Graduate Student Writing Communities are most beneficial if you commit to participating regularly and are able to attend the weekly meetings for the duration of the term.
